Smelterville is a small city in Shoshone County that had a 2010 population of 627.
Located next to Kellog in the Idaho panhandle, Smelterville is in the center of Idaho's mining district.
Smelterville was home to the Bunkerhill Mine Smelter for the Bunkerhill mines which were nearby.
There is not a lot to see here, but it is interesting in that it adds some perspective to the history of mining.
